“Resilience” and “sustainability” are described as essential goals that we must reach. We must also address connected crises of climate, biodiversity and livelihoods. Research and practice in rural Scotland are already, and will continue, to support the opportunities and address the challenges that we’re facing, in Scotland, the UK and internationally.
Come and hear inspirational speakers challenge and provoke us about how “the time for rural is NOW”. Listen to established and earlier career researchers debate and give their views. And have YOUR say as to how rural can shine a light on the possibilities and opportunities for addressing the “grand challenges” and “wicked problems” of our and future generations.
The event will be co-hosted by the RSE interim Chief Executive Dr Eve Poole and the SCRR Executive Committee Chair, Professor Geoff Simm.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
