Indoor screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s thrilling mystery 'Rear Window' as part of Cinescapes CineNights at Moxy series!
About this event
A fantastic Indoor Micro Cinema is popping up on a rooftop in Edinburgh.
On Sunday, 24 April 2022, Cinescapes and Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge are transforming their Rooftop 51 bar into a pop up micro cinema, with popcorn, drinks and much more!
About this event:
Get ready for some fun filled shenanigans as for April we're taking over Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge’s spectacular rooftop with a screening of Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 myster thriller 'Rear Window'.
When photographer L.B. "Jeff" Jefferies breaks his leg, he quickly finds himself laid up in. a wheelchair and confined to his New York Apartment. With little to do all day he begins to fill his time by observing his neighbours from his rear window. Things soon take an ominous turn when Jeff begins to suspect the man across the courtyard from him, may have murdered his wife! Yikes.
With a very grouchy James Stewart as "Jeff" and the lovely Grace Kelly as Lisa, Jeff's elegant yet exasperated Fiancée, 'Rear Window' is an unmissible classic that warns us of the dangers of spying on others in a way that only Alfred Hitchcock can.
So come and join us as we watch this eerily real tale of American suburbanisation in our little micro cinema.
Tickets are £20 per person and include popcorn, two specially crafted Cocktail‘s featuring Highland Liquor Company Gin and a live one hour music set on arrival.
Arrive from 5 pm to enjoy the live music, grab a cocktail and snag a good viewing point for the movie.
Screening starts at 6 pm with a 20 minute intermission at 7 pm.
This is cinema done in style, so grab a couple of pals, book your seats and watch 'Rear Window‘ play out on Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge's beautiful rooftop.
We strive to be as accessible as possible with wheelchair access and facilities on site. All film content will be shown with closed captions for D/deaf and hard of hearing audience members. If you have any added accessibility needs or questions, please get in touch at cinescapesfest@gmail.com.
