About Kilwinning Community Fireworks

Fireworks in the Park will be returning on Wednesday 5th November in McGavin Park.

We are encouraging all visitors to donate in advance with online banking and we will have collecting buckets available on the night as well.

How you can you help make it happen:
• The suggested donation on entry £12 for a family and a little more for those who can feel they can give more.

Food outlets and Kids rides open 4.30pm
the fire act starts at 5.30pm running through to 7.30pm
Short Family Display 6pm (Less loud bangs)
Main Display 7.30pm

Remember warm clothes, wellies or boots as we have wet grass underfoot and a torch.

Make sure your children have a note of your name and mobile in case getting separated. Tell them to go to any steward if separated and we will have a lost children post signed at the pavilion in the centre of the park.

Please do not bring DIY fireworks, Alcohol or Glass onsite, as you will be refused entry as we reserve the right to search at the event.

We we are always looking for sponsors and donations to maintain the event, if you can help contact the page please.

Getting to and Parking at Fireworks in the Park:
Please consider all other options before driving to Fireworks in the Park where ever possible.

We have Park and Walk routes signposted from Kilwinning Railway Station (via Claremont Crescent) and Kilwinning Town Centre parking (via college and Academy).
Limited public parking at the college as the college is also open.

All of the above options means you are not caught in traffic as much on arrival but especially on departure with Dalry Road seeing long delays and short time closures on the night.

Please follow the signage and stewards will help. Please do plan to arrive early.
Blue Badge Parking is Very Limited at Kilwinning Academy as the school is open, So please have your badge ready as you approach the school and stewards will direct you. We recommend arrival by cars prior to 18.30 for all main car parks.

The bus route runs nearby on the 11 bus, Beith and Irvine bound buses stop right outside.

Kilwinning Train Station is a 8 to 10 minute walk to the park.

Toilets are at the Pavilion which includes an accessible toilet.

Eating we will have the staples Burger Van, Donuts and ice cream plus glow sellers, please only used the licensed operators in the park.

First Aid and Lost Children go straight to the Pavilion.

Various rides to suit a range of ages all weather permitting opening 4.30pm with charges applying

Fire Acts behind the safety line From 5.30pm

If you are looking for a quieter spot and the best view of the fireworks head to behind Underwood or Beechwood to view the display at the stage.

It's worth repeating this is delivered by volunteers at Kilwinning Community Events so therefore donations are essential to keeping the event going.

On the night we will have buckets out with official marked collectors.

This year due to increasing booking fee costs we are going to focus more on collecting buckets and using online banking to donate.
