IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A WHITE CHRISTMAS AT THE LEDDIE TO CAPTURE THE MAGIC
Embrace the festivities with Black Friday coastal escapes & seasonal events.
This year’s celebrations arrive alongside a limited-time Black Friday Stay Offer, giving guests the perfect excuse to escape to East Lothian for a winter retreat. Recommended in The Times Top 100 Places to Stay (2025), embrace the season with exclusive offers and a sparkling calendar of events designed to bring together families, friends and festive explorers.
Just 30 minutes from Edinburgh, The Leddie offers a luxurious coastal escape on Scotland’s Golf Coast, blending the buzz of the capital with the calm of the coast – at more competitive rates than the city during the festive period.
The Leddie has launched Black Friday deals of over 30% off accommodation, with stays starting from £133, based on two guests sharing. Perfect for gifting or planning a seasonal getaway, the Black Friday deals are available now via www.theleddie.com.
December at The Leddie also promises a rich programme of events, with highlights including paint-and-sip candle experiences in partnership with Drift Candles on the 1st and 8th of December. This is where creatives can design their own candle jar and festive bauble while relaxing with a cocktail.
On the 7th of December, a festive wreath-making workshop hosted by leading Edinburgh and Longniddry-based florists In Bloom gives guests the creative experience of crafting their own winter wreath using fresh seasonal foliage, all while enjoying mulled wine, tea, coffee and homemade mince pies.
On Thursday 11 December, The Leddie is hosting a Wine & Cheese Evening guided by Liberty Wines and renowned cheesemonger I.J. Mellis. Guests will enjoy four expertly selected wines paired with four artisan cheeses, offering a decadent December treat.
The celebrations continue with a festive Cocktails & Canapés Night on Thursday 18 December, where the hotel’s bar team will lead a masterclass featuring three seasonal cocktails served alongside freshly made canapés.
For families, Monday 22 December marks the return of the much-loved Breakfast with Santa. Children will receive a special gift and an activity pack, while adults enjoy a cosy festive breakfast to start Christmas week in warm Leddie style. Throughout December, the hotel will also host intimate live music sessions every Friday night, providing the perfect backdrop for festive drinks, relaxed dinners and seasonal celebrations.
Alongside the events programme, The Leddie is serving up its festive dining menu from 1 to 30 December, showcasing locally sourced produce and the comfort of classic Christmas flavours. Highlights include Chicken Liver Parfait with spiced fruit chutney and toasted brioche; Roasted Turkey Ballotine with pigs-in-blankets, sage stuffing, roast potatoes and winter vegetables; and a seasonal Butternut Squash & Spinach Wellington. Guests can round off their meal with traditional Christmas Pudding served with brandy custard or a rich Dark Chocolate Delice.
General Manager Robert Clark said:
“This year’s black Friday deals and festive programme is all about the experience, bringing atmosphere, creativity and togetherness. From wreath-making and candle painting to indulgent tastings and family fun with Santa, we’re excited to welcome guests to experience a warm and memorable Christmas at The Leddie.”
