Permanently berthed in Edinburgh’s historic Port of Leith, Fingal provides a stylish setting for friends, family and colleagues to indulge in the ship’s new festive afternoon tea; Christmas wreath workshop; festive private dining and a Hogmanay celebration. A gift voucher for Fingal is bound to be the best gift under the tree.
Fingal has all the glamour and style of a superyacht, but with an air of old-world Art Deco luxury ocean liner elegance inspired by the ship’s rich maritime heritage. The ship’s Lighthouse Restaurant has two AA rosettes for culinary excellence.
Festive Afternoon Tea - 12pm to 3.30pm daily - 19th November until 4th January
Served in the ship’s Lighthouse Restaurant, Fingal’s galley team have created a new festive afternoon tea to offer guests and non-residents one of the most decadent of British traditions in a world-class foodie destination with a nautical twist.
Standout savouries include aged beef bourguignon with potato purée and crispy onions; and Stilton, fig and walnut tart with ruby port gel. Enjoy festive navettes, including oak smoked salmon with dill crème fraiche; and Lothian turkey with cranberry butter.
Freshly baked buttermilk scones lead to a finale of sweet delights, including a chestnut sable with vanilla Chantilly; a coconut snowball with caramel praline; and gingerbread with Mouneyrac pear and Valrhona chocolate.
Fingal’s Festive Afternoon Tea menu is priced at £65 per person, or from £80 per person for the extra special Champagne Afternoon Tea. Advance reservation required. Go to www.fingal.co.uk/christmas-new-year/festive-afternoon-tea

Open to residents and non-residents, Fingal’s ticketed Hogmanay event takes place in the ship’s ballroom – a glamorous space with sweeping staircases. Live lounge music will fill the air and good company will keep the celebration going until midnight when the stirring sounds of a piper marks the new year. Ring in the bells with the unique spectacle of sabrage using Fingal’s ceremonial sword, then dive into a hearty treat of a traditional dram and stovies. Sparkling fountains will create a stunning spectacle, a memorable start to 2026.
Call Fingal’s reservations team on 0131 357 5000 to book your Hogmanay ticket priced at £55 per person.

Fingal’s 22 luxury cabins are each named after Stevenson lighthouses, inspired by Fingal’s rich maritime heritage. The ship is now the ultimate in luxury accommodation and dining.
Re-launched as a luxury hotel in 2019, the former Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) tender is owned and operated by the award-winning team at The Royal Yacht Britannia, which is located just 10 minutes away.
Fingal is located opposite the Port of Leith tram stop, which offers a direct and quick transport link between Leith, Edinburgh city centre and Edinburgh Airport.
