Monica Vinader, the leading demi-fine jewellery brand known for its quality, craftsmanship and sustainable practices, continues its global brick-and-mortar expansion, announcing the opening of its first Scottish boutique, a flagship store in the heart of Edinburgh. This location marks the brand’s 25th directly operated store and concession across the UK, US, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Edinburgh boutique, located on George Street, will welcome its first customers on Saturday 9th November 2024.
The store will feature another first for the brand: a new store concept with a focus on conscious design and raw materials. Taking inspiration from earthy textures and organic forms, the elevated design is an ode to the natural world and the brand’s heritage of craftsmanship. With a strong focus on sourcing genuine long-lasting materials the brand’s new design features elements from Earth’s precious resources such as sand, stone, and wood. In line with the brand’s sustainability ethos, the design is inclusive of innovative materials such as Red Mud, a by-product residue of the alumina industry. The new concept aims to provide a unique and immersive experience through art and craft.
More than just a shopping experience, the boutique will offer piercing and welding services, as well as complimentary engraving and monogramming, allowing customers to personalise their pieces.
Staying true to its sustainability commitments, Monica Vinader will also offer its customers the ability to recycle their gold and silver jewellery in exchange for a gift voucher towards their next purchase. As part of the jeweller’s 5-year warranty and lifetime repair guarantee, customers are also eligible for repairs and exchanges at the new location.
To celebrate the opening, the jeweller will host a weekend full of activity beginning with a gift voucher for the first 30 people in the queue. Every customer will receive an exclusive tote bag throughout Saturday and customers that spend £150 or more across the opening weekend will receive a complimentary Mini Paperclip Chain Necklace, all while stocks last. The boutique will also have its own pop-up photobooth so customers can capture their opening weekend experiences.
Monica Vinader has over 250 employees worldwide and the new Edinburgh boutique will create an additional 7 jobs.
“We’re thrilled to open our first standalone boutique in Scotland. From our digital business, we know that we have a devoted community in Scotland, particularly in Edinburgh, so we wanted to bring our full-service offering closer to them, including piercing and welding services which they can experience on home soil for the first time. What makes this opening extra special is we’re introducing our new boutique interior concept which we hope makes for an even more pleasurable customer journey of discovering their new favourite jewellery pieces,” says Monica Vinader.
