This exhibition invites artists, makers, designers and creatives from all walks of life to explore their personal, emotional, or historical connections to Leith. Whether you are a born and bred Leither, immigrated here, or even have precious memories of Leith, 'Leith Connections' celebrates what draws people to this amazing neighbourhood.
Mood & Tone:
Our exhibition embraces a community-led approach with a personal, warm, and nostalgic atmosphere that celebrates both old and new Leith. We aim to capture the urban, gritty essence of the area while reflecting Leith's incredible diversity and contrasts. This exhibition is welcoming to artists at all stages of their creative journey and a space for experimental and work in progress pieces, not just finalised artworks.
The exhibition will run from Wednesday 6th August to Sunday 31st August 2025 and we are welcoming all artists at all stages in their journey to apply.
We are accepting works in:
> Printed works
> Small original artworks
> Handcrafted gifts and objects
> Textiles and wearable pieces
> Zines, postcards, paper work
> Mixed media and experimental works
Please fill out the application here to be considered for the exhibition. Deadline to apply is 5pm Sunday 27th July 2025. Successful artists will be contacted by 1st August. Work selected will be subject to a 10% fee of the value of the work with a minimum/ maximum cap applied.
