On the border of Dumfries and Galloway and Ayrshire, Crawick Multiverse is a popular four-star visitor attraction and a stunning outdoor venue. The former open cast coal mine has its own Sun Amphitheatre and will be transformed into a spectacular festival venue later this month.
Music at the Multiverse has once again secured a late-summer spot in Scotland’s annual festival calendar for its two-day festival on the 31st August and 1st September. The festival has an exceptional line-up with The Hoosiers, Toploader, Tide Lines, Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5, The Lucky Doves, The Lutras, EBB, Elias T. Hoth, Kissing the Flint, The Mocking Byrds, Tiderays and The Cherry Pinks all set to perform on the Main Stage.
The Big Top Dance Tent will include performances from Public Domain, Flip N Fill, Technotronic Ft Eric Martin, Michael Smith, Malcolm X, We Love Old Skool, Stevie Lennon, Brett Lawrie, Steven Allan, Stephen Holland, Blair Crawford, Nicky Nally, Jamie Benson and Paul Cooper.
Thanks to a partnership with the Up Yer Airts team there will be a new Cosmic Lounge performance space featuring local talent as well as an artist showcase for new young performers, including Dopesickfly, Zoe Bestel, Ella Campbell, Alexander and the Greeks, Kate Kyle and Palliro.
Early Bird Tickets and Motorhome Pitches are already sold out, but there is still time to purchase day and weekend tickets and to book coach travel to and from the festival from Dumfries, Thornhill, Cumnock, New Cumnock, Lockerbie, Gretna and Castle Douglas.
Now in its fourth year, organisers expect a bumper crowd at the festival in 2024 and have invested in an expanded food and drink village and a new family zone, so this is a weekend not to miss and a great way to celebrate the end of the summer season with family and friends in a stunning outdoor setting.
Cllr Gail Macgregor, the Leader of Dumfries and Galloway Council said: “Music at the Multiverse offers music fans the chance to relax, unwind and enjoy great bands at affordable prices. It’s one of Scotland’s best up and coming music festivals and is supported by Dumfries and Galloway’s Events Strategy 2023-2027. Make your way to the Multiverse later this summer to have a great time.”
In addition to funding support from Dumfries and Galloway Council and EventScotland, Music at the Multiverse has also attracted a high-profile line-up of local sponsors who are all generously investing in the festival this year.
Sharon Glendinning; Event Promoter for Music at the Multiverse said: “We couldn’t be more excited about hosting Music at the Multiverse in 2024. We have once again secured a fantastic line-up and with less than a month to go, we are looking forward to another record-breaking attendance. We have been overwhelmed with the support received from performers and festival-goers, as well as from funders, sponsors and supporters and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the Multiverse.”
