From decorating the tree to singing carols, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year for many, but with the joy comes a list of chores. Pepsi MAX reveals that gift wrapping is one of the most-loathed tasks for Brits, with 62% expressing dissatisfaction with the time it takes to wrap a present*. To eliminate festive buzz kills and elevate the season, the no-sugar cola brand is launching its Christmas is Better with Pepsi MAX campaign, boasting feel-good festive experiences such as free gift-wrapping stations across the UK.
Pepsi MAX UK survey data reveals, the biggest gripes with wrapping presents amongst those who celebrate Christmas are the awkward shape of gifts (58%), while Gen Z and Millennials say they simply have zero wrapping skills (69% and 60% respectively). Additionally, 60% of those surveyed said they prefer to smash out all the gift wrapping at once to get it out of the way, while 62% of men and 41% of women would prefer to have someone else take care of their wrapping.
To soothe the nation's grudge against present prep, Pepsi MAX has established gift-wrapping stations in five major cities across the UK - completely free of charge. All stations will be opened in high-footfall shopping locations, and will be staffed with a professional gift wrapping expert to help get the job done with beauty and ease. After all, a majority of those surveyed believe that a well-wrapped gift makes for a more thoughtful present - with only 11% disagreeing with the sentiment*. Then, going the extra mile, personalised photo gift tags will also be offered at stations to provide a unique touch to each present.
Dagmar Emery, Senior Marketing Manager at Pepsi MAX UK, shared, “The holiday season in the UK is a time for celebration, laughter and memorable moments. We should be spending time with friends, family, and basking in the festive spirit, but there’s always a list of things to get done before the fun begins. In 2023, we’re creating experiences that save time, stress, and energy, allowing for a better Christmas season - including offering respite from one of the least enjoyable chores, gift wrapping! Providing a personalised experience that adds sentimentality and ease to the gift-giving process, we're ensuring that your Christmas is not just merry but also better with Pepsi MAX.”
The no-sugar cola brand is also offering an escape from obligatory and last-minute holiday gifts, providing Brits with a fun alternative to the standard stocking gift. The Pepsi MAX Sock Exchange, launching in Birmingham on December 7th, allows individuals to trade the mundane socks they’ve been gifted for exclusive merchandise. With each unique swap, the brand will pledge donations to the local charity Crisis, adding a deeper layer of meaning to the season of giving.
The ‘Christmas is Better with Pepsi MAX’ campaign will continue to spread holiday cheer until December 31, 2023, promising a Christmas season filled with more smiles, less stress, and unforgettable Pepsi MAX moments.
