Following months of restrictions, the reopening of the Scottish housing market has seen home buyers flocking to the coast in search of a better quality of life. But despite the allure of fresh air and the promise of a slower, more laid-back pace of living, one of the drawbacks for some seaside dwellers is the perceived lack of five-star, city-standard salons. That is, until now.
Those searching for the good life by the sea can rest assured they won’t need to make any sacrifices on the styling front when they leave the city, with new salon Chapter One Hair Spa at Haddington providing a high-end pamper experience that rivals any in the capital.
Offering a full range of luxury hair services, products and treatments for women, men and children, the East Lothian salon has quickly become a destination salon in its own right.
The Haddington salon is the latest addition to Chapter One Hair Spa’s award-winning portfolio. Founded by hair styling duo, Paul Bertram and Natalie Hamilton, the successful launch of their Newtongrange salon in 2012 was followed by the opening of a second salon in Eskbank in 2015. They rapidly gained a reputation for their outstanding salon experience and attention to detail, as well as their up-to-the-minute range of services which includes Keratin treatments, scalp renew dermabrasion, extensions, glossing, and men’s colour camo services.
Commenting on the first few months in business, salon co-owner Paul explains; ‘We’ve been blown away by the positive feedback we’ve received already.
‘Many of our new clients have told us they previously felt they had to head to Edinburgh to get that high-end salon experience, and now they’re delighted they can get the five-star treatment right here in Haddington.
We’re especially convenient for those working from home in East Lothian – by cutting out the need to travel all the way into the city, we’re saving remote-workers time and hassle, so they can enjoy a better work / life balance here.’
Salon co-owner Natalie adds; ‘We’ve gone all out to match, even exceed city standards.
‘We’ve totally transformed a former ballroom in a listed hotel into a complete sanctuary – there’s nothing else like it.’
With the team at Haddington’s newest hair salon committed to the providing the highest standards, East Lothian just got even more beautiful.
Chapter One Hair Spa at Haddington is located at 94 High Street, Haddington, East Lothian, EH41 3ET, and is open Tuesday to Saturday.
