Edinburgh Dance School launches Classes for Babies and Toddlers

Edinburgh dance school 'DN Dance' has announced details of its new venture - a dedicated dance school for babies and toddlers from just 6 months of age.

DN Dance Babies is a brand new activity for babies, toddlers and their adults in the Edinburgh area. As a new offering from the city’s well-known DN Dance school, the classes promise to be a fun, gentle introduction to the joy of dance for little ones, with specifically-designed elements that are safe and appropriate for each stage.

DN Dance Babies will initially launch in March at three locations across the city - Corstorphine, Davidson’s Mains and Inverleith - with further expansion in the pipeline. Classes are tailored for each age group, and are designed to support children to grow in confidence, interact with others and make the most of their inquisitive, imaginative minds.

DN Dance Babies Co-Founder Nicky Bleakley explains,
“I first began dance classes when I was just three years old. Those early lessons sowed the seeds of a lifelong love of dance, and I’ve been lucky enough to build a successful and rewarding career in the field. After my own little girl was born in 2017, I realised how the foundations of dance could be used in a fun and engaging way to support baby and toddler development - it’s also a brilliant way for parents and carers to meet and to make new friends and we want DN Dance Babies to be a warm and welcoming place for all.”
