It is a multi-disciplinary facility promoting engagement and innovation in craft and design, as well as providing facilities, opportunities and development for professional designer-makers and the community.
Our facilities:
Out of the Blue Abbeymount Studios is the home for art and craft studios as well as weekly classes for beginners and advanced makers and workshop access.
We offer our resident artists 24 hour access to purpose built workshops with tools and equipment for:
Woodwork
Fashion and textile design
Printmaking
Edinburgh Design School have a (separate) ceramics workshop
The Narcissus Flower School workshops are presented to students wishing to learn the traditional craft of floristry in a modern school.
