The Linlithgow Union Canal Society was founded in 1975 to promote and encourage the restoration and use of the Union Canal, particularly in and around Linlithgow.
It is a voluntary body based at the Canal Centre in Manse Road, Linlithgow and unpaid volunteers are responsible for the facilities and all activities.
Facilities at the canal basin that are available to the public during opening times include:
A Museum, which is the only Canal Museum in Scotland
A Tearoom, which can be hired when not in use
The Mel Gray Education Centre, which can be hired
Toilets
Boat Tours aboard our three boats – Victoria, Saint Magdalene and Leamington
Holyrood Distillery is the product of Canadians Rob & Kelly Carpenter and Scot David Robertson, who collectively share a love for Edinburgh, Scotch Whisky and interesting challenges.
