On 24th and 25th January, The Lost Close invites you to experience Burns Night in a way few ever will - an intimate evening of Scottish heritage, exceptional whiskies, and captivating storytelling in two of Edinburgh’s most exclusive private spaces.
What to Expect:
- Bagpipe Welcome & Fizz Reception – Guests arrive at 6pm to the sound of the pipes before being escorted to the venue for a sparkling welcome.
- Address to a Haggis – Witness the iconic Robert Burns poem performed by a traditional bagpiper as the haggis is ceremonially presented.
- Rare Whisky Pairings – Between courses, a whisky expert from The Lost Close will guide guests through a tasting of four exceptional Scotch whiskies.
- Three-Course Meal – Enjoy a menu of hearty classics: warming soup, haggis pie with trimmings, and sticky toffee pudding.
- Immersive Storytelling – Throughout the evening, storytellers will share tales of Robert Burns, the poet Robert Fergusson, and the rich history of Parliament Square and The Lost Close itself.
- The Lost Close - The evening concludes underground at The Lost Close, where guests will savour The Lost Close 2, an exclusive single cask with only 190 bottles ever produced – a whisky you won’t find anywhere else!
This is not just a Burns Night supper - it is an immersive journey through Scotland’s poetry, history, and craftsmanship in a setting few will ever experience.
Limited to 20 guests per night.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
