Join us at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral in Edinburgh on January 29th for this unique concert that combines art and journalism. Proceeds from the event will go to Save Ukraine, the only NGO that regularly organizes rescue missions to return deported children from Russia.
Daughters of Donbas — Songs of Stolen Children is a music and human rights project that highlights the plight of at least 20,000 Ukrainian children abducted from occupied Ukraine and taken to Russia.
Singer, musician, human rights advocate and war correspondent, Marichka is the powerful lead voice of the project, in which she performs with a string quartet and bandurist Alina Kuzma.
Marichka Marczyk is a well-known singer, folklorist, activist and musician with the Ukrainian-Canadian band Balaklava Blues and Lemon Bucket Orkestra. Since 2014, she has lived in Toronto, Canada, with her family — she is the mother of four children.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
