We’ll have 100% of the proceeds going to support the work of Waverley Care, Scotland’s leading HIV charity, dedicated to prevention, education, and support to help people living with and affected by HIV to live well.
Come see a tour we offer weekly with the added bonus of supporting a truly great group of people. This year Waverley Care announced the end of their hospice, Milestone House. It’s a testament to their work as a charity that thousands of people were able to finish their lives with dignity and now treatment has improved to the point where hospice care is no longer necessary.
The tour will be the standard length of our weekly LGBTQ tour, an hour and a half, and is very accessible to those with mobility issues.
We will take a trip together in the heart of Scotland's capital to find out how LGBT people carved out a life in a hostile climate, past many important sites in the fight for liberation, and hearing about many interesting queer lives lived in the streets. This matters now more than ever when the forces of reaction are working to make our community smaller and more isolated. Open to both members of the LGBTQ community as well as allies who are keen to show support. You pay nothing to join the tour and at the end you pay what seems a fair price.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
