An exhibition showcasing collaborative work by Jon Gray and Tom Etherington.

“These collaborative works began as a conversation about art and language. As book cover designers they work in very different ways. Tom favours bold colour, structure, grids, whereas Jon can be more organic, graphic, layered in his approach. What would a shared voice look like, sound like?

Colourful exchanges followed and continued. A visual correspondence. Harmony through trial and Error.

Responding, re-framing, refining, reflecting. Puzzling it out. Two people with different graphic approaches trying to build something new. A playful dialectic. Vivid, friendly, rhythmic, and questing. A continuous work in progress.” Dan Richards
