This October, wine tastings are back at Stockbridge enoteca and trattoria Sotto.
Guided by Sotto's owner and sommelier James Clark, and Murray McDougall from Raeburn wines, the first tasting back will commence on Wednesday 22nd of October at 6pm. Guests will sample four wines from the Valopolicella and Veneto region, with James and Murray guiding the guests through the grapes and history which make these regions so special.
Guests will start with a Bardolino Charetto Rose, followed by a Valpolicella, Valpolicella Ripasso and a Amarone della Valpolicella to finish. All of these wines are from the same grape, but majorly unique in taste due to different production methods. A destination spot for Italian wine in Edinburgh, Sotto has a thoughtfully-curated selection of over 200 wines, showcasing every region of Italy.
All guests are warmly invited to make a reservation in the restaurant from 7pm onwards, should they wish to enjoy Sotto’s restaurant menu which combines seasonal British produce with classical Italian cookery.
The tasting costs £20, and bookings can be made via email at info@sottoedinburgh.com.
