Widow Walk Edinburgh – Saturday, October 11th
A gentle walk of remembrance, reflection, and connection, organised by the Sustainable Weight Loss Support Group in collaboration with Cruse Bereavement Support Scotland.
Join us on Saturday, October 11th for a guided walk around the lower trail of Arthur’s Seat — a beautiful, grounding experience in nature created especially for women who have lost a partner, and those who wish to support them.
This is a space to connect with others who understand, honour your grief, and find gentle comfort in movement, nature, and shared stories.
Event Details:
Date: Saturday, 11 October 2025
Time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Meeting Point: Outside the **Queen’s Building**, bottom of the Royal Mile
Walk Route: Gentle loop around the lower Arthur’s Seat trail (approx. 60–75 mins)
Post-Walk Gathering:
- From 4:00 PM at Indigo Yard (upstairs booked)
- Light food served at 4:30 PM – selection of 4–6 items including 2 vegetarian options, plus lean meats like sliders or chicken skewers
- Reflection activity — please bring a notepad and pen
- Wrap-up by 6:00 PM
What to Expect:
- A safe, welcoming group led by compassionate hosts
- Moments of quiet reflection, shared memory, and soft conversation
- Optional remembrance ritual — bring a small item or name to honour if you wish

Rain or shine – we’ll walk in light rain, or move to a warm indoor space if weather is poor.
Open to all women who have experienced the loss of a life partner — no matter how recent or long ago.
