When slavery was abolished in 1834, the British Government compensated the enslavers for their loss of “property.” Those who were recently liberated received nothing. Alex Renton’s family were among those compensated. Join Dr Cat Dunn, independent curator, researcher and artist, in conversation about what to do with that inheritance in Scotland today — for our institutions, our stories, our art and our future.
This is a free event.
