An interactive event exploring different ways of reading
Most reading today is silent and solitary — but that hasn’t always been the case.
READ WRITE HEAR is a live, hands-on event exploring how reading has been shared, spoken, and shaped by setting, voice, and gesture across time. Led by Dr Elspeth Jajdelska (University of Strathclyde), this interactive experience invites participants to explore different ways of reading — from literature to ceremony — and to reflect on what reading means today.
Registration is free but required.
Part of the Being Human Festival 2025.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
