Combining fine Spanish wines with fine Spanish words
People:
We believe that a friendly chat can be better than any language lesson. Especially over a glass of wine.
Our resident Spanish speaker - Eugenia - will be hosting the evening and happy to help you with anything. You will meet plenty of other friendly faces to talk to and practise your language skills.
Venue:
Mellis Cheese Lounge in Morningside is the perfect venue for our small event. This hidden gem of a room is situated within a world-class cheesemonger's shop, I. J. Mellis being at the top of Scotland's cheesemongering game. Here we will enjoy their cosy atmosphere and excellent produce as we relax into the evening.
Timings etc.:
Arrive at or around 7pm. We will do some introductions shortly afterwards
The event will last two hours, including some group interaction, nothing too strenuous
We finish at 9pm, feel free to head over the road to The Canny Man's pub
About Us:
Dan and Marcus first discovered the linguistic power of good produce when bartering for a ride on the back of a tiny three-wheeled truck in the middle of the Taklamakan Desert. Biscuits were exchanged and a deal was done.
We've improved on the biscuits in the intervening years.
We believe that languages bring people together, so we've created a cosy space for people to gather and chat.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
