Newhailes was home to the influential (and occasionally infamous) Dalrymple family for nearly 300 years. Over the centuries, residents, staff, volunteers and visitors have experienced and reported things that they couldn’t quite explain.
Whistling in the corridors, ghostly music, footsteps in empty rooms and shadowy figures have ensured that Newhailes House has earned a reputation for being haunted.
Join us for this special tour of Newhailes and experience this atmospheric house for yourself. Your guide will lead you through the rooms, recounting stories of intelligent, residual and even poltergeist hauntings. Who knows, you may have your own story to share by the end of the tour ...
Meeting point:
Please meet at the House, at least 10 minutes before the event is due to start.
Accessibility:
There are several flights of stairs on the tour route, and the tour may not be accessible for people with mobility issues. As this event takes place after dark, there will be low visibility in some places. Please take care.
