Newhailes was home to the influential (and occasionally infamous) Dalrymple family for nearly 300 years. Over the centuries, residents, staff, volunteers and visitors have experienced and reported things that they couldn’t quite explain.
Whistling in the corridors, ghostly music, footsteps in empty rooms and shadowy figures have ensured that Newhailes House has earned a reputation for being haunted.
Join us for this special tour of Newhailes and experience this atmospheric house for yourself. Your guide will lead you through the rooms, recounting stories of intelligent, residual and even poltergeist hauntings. Who knows, you may have your own story to share by the end of the tour ...
