In the sleepy Irish village of Bunderr, silence speaks volumes. Where one family's grief without answers becomes a young man's pursuit for the truth, what he uncovers threatens to unravel the very fabric of this tight-knit community.
After the tragic suicide of his younger brother Chris, Alan begins to unravel a story that challenges everything his small Irish community thought it knew. When a neighbour reveals a chilling truth from the past, the façade of peace begins to crumble. As Alan battles to expose the silence and shame buried deep in the heart of the village, shocking revelations threaten everything.
Written by Ronan Colfer and directed by Ryan McVeigh, this powerful new play marks the 20th anniversary of The Ferns Report – Ireland’s first official investigation into clerical child sexual abuse. With traditional Irish music woven through the production, and based on true events, Our Brothers in Cloth is a tribute to those who dared to speak, and a challenge to those who still won’t listen.
