This is a fun and informative weekend at the Chippendale International School of Furniture and is one of our most accessible courses to give students a first point of access into woodworking.
About Woodturning Weekend 6th & 7th September
Our weekend woodturning course is taught by Adam Stone, the School’s Woodturning specialist.
This fun and informative weekend is one of our most accessible courses to give students a first point of access into woodworking, with a focus on woodturning and round joinery.
It is also designed to be scalable, so that students can then apply their skills to a variety of other projects.
During the weekend, students will make a stool or plant stand, with a wooden turned top and three legs.
Students will learn how to work a lathe whilst being introduced to a wide range of different tools and techniques. They will also learn how to make tenons, tapered legs, sand and finish on the lathe.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
