About The Strongest Girl in the World
The Strongest Girl in the World tells a poignant, nostalgic, and surprisingly funny story of playwright and performer Truly Siskind-Weiss’ experience of losing her father when she was 10, and her later journey to learn more about her father and her childhood self.
Truly doesn’t remember her father, not really, instead she’s collected the stories of others to build her own understanding of who her dad was. Throughout the show, she shares these stories, along with poetry, campfire songs, and her own reflections on loss to create a piece that is at once deeply personal, and universal.
It is an honest and moving love letter to Truly’s father, and the sassy young daughter who really was ‘The Strongest Girl in the World.’
