About Terry’s: An American Tragedy About Cars, Customers, and Selling Cars to Customers
From award-nominated, Lecoq-trained company BRILLIG, Terry’s: An American Tragedy About Cars, Customers, and Selling Cars to Customers, is an absurd, all-American satire featuring original live music, physical theatre, and one very emotionally significant balloon. With capitalism as fuel, the show is revving up on sales targets and taking audiences on the ride of their lives this Edinburgh Fringe with only one thing left to lose: the American goddamn dream.
Set in a 1990s car dealership over Memorial Day weekend, the sales team at Terry’s Cars & Automobiles is preparing to honour the fallen in the most patriotic way - by slashing prices on some gently used (mostly) American-made cars. But if they don’t shift 66 cars by Monday, there will be hell to pay.
