Known for our creative and experimental approach to whisky production, we aim to bring a modern and innovative twist to a classic tasting experience. We set out to find a chocolatier who share our passion for experimentation, and appreciation for high-quality flavours and products.
We are delighted to have partnered with an Edinburgh based chocolatier - The Chocolatarium - to create a bespoke range of chocolate truffles, combining their chocolate-making expertise with our Founding Series of single malts. We hope you’ll agree - it’s a match made in heaven!
We are bringing you this bespoke experience specially for our 6th Birthday celebration! This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about our experimental approach to whisky, and enjoy an in-depth tasting experience of our single malts and specially selected single cask whiskies, alongside delicious chocolates from an artisanal local supplier. You'll also enjoy learning to make, shake and serve your very own chocolate cocktail!
When you arrive, you'll be invited up to our cosy Lounge to enjoy a delicious cocktail. Take a seat, relax, and let us welcome you to Holyrood. You'll get to know your host and other visitors, as we tell you about our Distillery and our unique approach to whisky making. We'll introduce you to our partnership with the Chocolatarium, and discuss the magic of pairing whisky and chocolate.
You'll cross our Bridge, where you'll get a perfect photo opportunity of our copper stills with a birds-eye view. Moving through to our Spirits Lab, you'll enjoy a fun-filled cocktail making session! We've created a bespoke chocolate themed cocktail for this event - we'll take you through each step of how to create the perfect serve. You'll then have time to chat and enjoy your creation.
Moving down to our whisky production floor, we'll take you through a very special tasting of single cask whiskies and single origin chocolates. You'll hear about their unique qualities and craftsmanship, and indulge in a truly decadent tasting experience.
Finally, your host will take you through an in-depth tasting of our three Founding Series single malt whiskies in our atmospheric Cask Room. Each will be paired with a luxurious hand-crafted chocolate truffle - each containing a whisky ganache made with our single malts. We'll explain the malts, yeasts and casks behind each expression, and discuss the tasting notes among the group.
You'll finish your experience in our Distillery Bar, where you're welcome to stay and enjoy our bespoke cocktail menu with exclusive Birthday prices!
