On 30th June, whisky lovers are invited to a one-night-only tasting experience at SCOTCH – The Balmoral’s signature whisky bar. Hosted in partnership with Fragrant Drops, an independent Edinburgh-based bottler, the evening will feature a curated selection of small-batch and single-cask whiskies.

Founded by passionate whisky enthusiasts in Leith, Fragrant Drops carefully selects and bottles casks that showcase complexity, individuality, and regional character. Their guided tastings are known for being welcoming, informative, and full of personality, much like the whiskies they pour.

Occupying a prime position at 1 Princes Street in the centre of Scotland’s capital, SCOTCH Bar is open daily and also offers a range of tasting experiences and events throughout the year. The bottle collection includes the likes of the Tomatin 36 Year Old and Tomdhu 18 Year Old, as well as single cask and private bottlings from award-winning distilleries in the Highlands, Lowlands, Islands, Islay, and Speyside. Set within The Balmoral, SCOTCH offers a warm, intimate setting with whisky-toned interiors, soft lighting, and natural materials like oak, wool, and leather. With more than 500 curated bottles showcased in a handcrafted cabinet, SCOTCH creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the evening’s tasting, guided by the bar’s Whisky Ambassadors, dressed in traditional kilts, alongside the Fragrant Drops team.

Whether attendees are seasoned whisky lovers or sampling their very first dram, the guided tasting promises an unforgettable journey through Scotland’s finest expressions. Spaces are limited, so early booking is highly recommended.
