Not to be missed!
Alright folks here's the line up!
8pm - Rue Marie
Rue Marie is a budding indie folk singer-songwriter, born and raised in Scotland. Rue found herself immersed in 60s folk music from a young age, listening to protest artists such as Joan Baez and Melanie Safka.
With a love for jazz, blues and folk music, Rue’s influences include the likes of Laura Marling, Angel Olsen, Billie Holiday & Karen Dalton. With the use of her honest emotive lyrics intertwined with her tender jazzy toned vocals, Rue is able to transport audiences to a daydream of nostalgia with her melancholy tales of love, solitude and grief.
9pm - Nicole Smit
Nicole Cassandra Smit
Having made her name in the Scottish jazz & blues scene over the last decade - performing sell out shows and touring with various outfits such as The Blueswater, Nicole & The Backup Crew, Smitten - and debuting her first solo album, Third in Line, in 2022. Nicole is currently exploring multilingual jazz with her new quintet as well as writing new material.
10pm - Ailsa and the Seahorses
Head in the cosmos, feet fixed to the earth, Ailsa McEwan’s (alias Ailsa and the Seahorses) distinct brand of ethereal indie speaks to the metaphysical, while grounded by the warmth of hushed, honest vocals. Marrying the atmospherics of dreampop and shoegaze with the singer-songwriter tradition, her music is a blend of dreamy melancholia and mystic poetry. Returning home to Scotland after 5 years in dusty Berlin, she brings with her the debut album 'Hermit’ - a collection of songs from a journey through introspection and hope.
