Planning for Post-School Life - Gate Hosts Open Evening for Families of Neurodivergent Students
As planning begins for young people finishing school in June 2026, Gate at The Donaldson Trust is inviting families of neurodivergent pupils to attend their Open Evening in Linlithgow to explore post-school options.
The transition from school to adult life can be a source of anxiety for many parents, particularly when their child isn't immediately ready for college, training, or employment. Gate offers a specialist, neurodiversity-informed service designed to provide a supportive and flexible pathway for young people aged 16 and over.
“Our service is all about empowering neurodivergent young people to take their next steps into adult life at their own pace and toward a future where they can truly thrive,” said Samantha King, Director of Services. "We understand the worries parents have. Gate provides a reliable solution to ensure a seamless and supported journey after they leave school."
The upcoming Open Evening is the perfect opportunity for parents and carers to see the service firsthand and understand how it can support their young person's next steps.
