Through whispered words and quiet moments, this programme traces the fragile threads that bind us to family, memory, and each other. In stories of loss, healing, and transformation, it explores the quiet power of shared experience and the delicate relationship between what is given and what is chosen. With intimate portraits of love and longing, unspoken connections that endure through time are uncovered, even when the world around us shifts
Several short films will be screened as part of this programme, followed by a Q&A.
The Edinburgh International University Film Festival (EIUFF), launching in 2025, is driven by a mission to champion and support the creative talents of university students across the UK. By collaborating with SYFF, they aim to nurture aspiring filmmakers through community engagement and financial backing. Their vision is to position EIUFF as the premier platform for student filmmakers to showcase their work, gain industry exposure and build meaningful connections. They strive to bridge the gap between education and the professional film world, empowering the next generation of storytellers to thrive.
