Multi-award-winning hip-hop comedian MC Hammersmith is the world's leading – and only - rapper to ever emerge from the ghetto of middle-class west London.
Performing improvised hip-hop comedy based on audience suggestions, he freestyles through the hour at lightning speed with absolutely no preparation whatsoever in a mind-blowing, hilarious, and completely different show every single time.
His scripted hip-hop comedy tracks have gone viral on numerous platforms, most notably racking up 200 million views on TikTok. Having started releasing videos during the first COVID-19 lockdown, he now boasts almost a million followers across social media.
He is also an improvisational comedian in some of the world's biggest touring improv shows and can frequently be spotted performing in Spontaneous Potter, Shamilton and Baby Wants Candy during the Fringe. He is also a writer for acclaimed YouTube series Epic Rap Battles of History which has over 15 million subscribers on YouTube.
Having grown up attending an all-male, middle class private school in west London’s suburb of Hammersmith, MC Hammersmith (real name Will Naameh) managed to escape these terrible confines and took up improv classes while studying for a degree in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh. He then went on to train in improv at the prestigious Second City and iO Chicago, the Annoyance Theatre in Chicago, and UCB New York.
Combining his love for linguistics and improvisation, he first started performing solo freestyle rap in 2016 and has since gone on to win numerous awards, headline major comedy clubs, sell out multiple consecutive runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and support Jason Manford and John Bishop on tour.
