Being a chorister at St Mary’s Music School offers children a unique combination of outstanding musical training, a first-class academic education and the chance to be part of a centuries-old choral tradition. All choristers are educated at the world class St Mary's Music School.
Our Chorister Pre-Audition Afternoon is a relaxed and welcoming introduction designed especially for P4 pupils who love to sing and who are interested in becoming a full-time chorister from September 2026.
During the afternoon, children will:
Take part in a fun, friendly singing session led by our choral staff.
Get a feel for what rehearsals are like and how choristers work together.
Learn more about chorister life at St Mary’s Music School, both musically and day-to-day.
This is not an audition. However, participants may be invited to audition by the Director of Music at St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral following the afternoon.
Parents and carers are warmly invited to attend to learn more about the musical, academic and pastoral support offered.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
