This exhibition will look at how stories and the exploration of nature come together in our childhood experiences. Flowers, trees, animals, insects and birds feature heavily in children’s books, set in both the real world and imaginary worlds.
Children’s books from the last 150 years will be on display with beautiful illustrations, poetry and information about how to find green spaces throughout Edinburgh. The positive influences of nature on mental health and wellbeing will be examined alongside a programme of public events for children and families.
This exhibition is a partnership project between the Museum of Childhood and SELCIE at the University of Edinburgh and is on display at the MUSEUM OF EDINBURGH.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
