This event has a pleasing circularity to it, as it marks the return of a much-loved ex-employee. Mark Watt worked in Royal Mile Whiskies from 2001 to 2004, working in the shop and learning how to sell whisky online (that seemed like a very innovative thing to do at the time!) After a time working at various other whisky companies, he founded their independent bottling business with his wife Kate. Their approach to cask selection has won many fans, as they have a straight-talking and fun approach to malt and their quality levels never drop.
