"Matthew Shiel shone" (4**** Three Weeks)
Moonlight Concerts return to Edinburgh with a frank and brutal account of highs and lows of a misunderstood and undervalued profession. Having taught piano in the homes of the rich and famous of Edinburgh’s snobbish upper-middle classes, Matthew Shiel shares his inspirational, peculiar and heartbreaking experiences which led both to success and burnout. With live piano including piano student favourites: Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, Mozart’s Rondo alla Turka. A must-see for those who wish to relive their music education or imagine to be the other side of the music stand.
