By Creating We Think: Patrick Geddes and the Futures of Edinburgh

About By Creating We Think: Patrick Geddes and the Futures of Edinburgh

The revolutionary 19th century Scottish social thinker, ecologist and town planner Patrick Geddes saved Auld Reekie from demolition and made it an international cultural hub. As part of Edinburgh's 900th Anniversary, this event now looks to the future. Artists, writers, activists and thinkers open pathways into ecology, culture and creativity for a city rich in local, national and international identities.

Open to all with an interest in the future direction of culture and creative society in Edinburgh and beyond. Join us throughout the day for a range of discussion and conversations, with free tea and coffee and a book exchange in the Storytelling Court.
