Geek Musica is a classical music ensemble that specialises in the performance of film and video game scores. The ensemble was founded in the interest of bringing this unique and vast landscape of music to life, putting both emerging and professional musicians to work, providing valuable experience in an ensemble setting to help prepare them for future work in the arena of classical music.
Geek Musica's mission is to share the beauty of classical music with as many people as possible by performing classical music through the lens of video games, television, and film, and especially to inspire aspiring musicians of every age to meaningful careers in the classical music arena. Their performance at Music on the Mezzanine will consist entirely of music from the Tolkien universe - Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit!
