Water of Leith Visitors Centre will see the opening of a new exhibition launched on Friday 7th February featuring the stories of local people who have bucked the holiday trend and opted not to take a cheap flight to their vacations from the capital, choosing to travel more slowly instead.
The outdoor exhibition began in Portobello (from a Porty Community Energy project) but is now touring the city and will spend two weeks outside the visitors centre until Thursday 21 February.
Anna Hughes, Director of FlightFree UK will be the main speaker at our launch event. Come and join us for tea and cakes, a look around the exhibition, a chance to get hold of our flightfree holidays from Edinburgh Zine, and talk to some of the people who told the stories in the Zine and Exhibition to get the best tips for a flight-free holiday this year.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
