In this 2-hour beginner-friendly session, you’ll learn how to carry out essential bike maintenance that saves you money, extends the life of your bike, and keeps you riding smoothly. From fixing a puncture to adjusting brakes and gears, our expert instructor, Tom Watson, will guide you step-by-step.

During the workshop, you’ll cover topics including:

- Workshop safety and the basics of a cycle repair kit.
- Safety check - The ‘M’ check—a quick and easy way to ensure your bike is safe to ride.
- Puncture repair, tyre pressure, brake adjustments, chain lubrication and gear tuning.
- How to spot wear and tear on tyres, chains, and ball bearing assemblies.
- An introduction to wheel truing and other handy skills relevant to the group.

Whether you're a casual cyclist or commuting daily, you’ll leave the workshop with the basic tools and knowledge to keep your bike in good shape. You’ll also get to take home a puncture repair kit to get you started on your bike maintenance journey.

Bring your bike and wear warm clothes – the workshop will take place outside, with gazebo cover if it’s raining.

No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm to learn!

Session designed for adult participants.
