New Mexican Supper Club at Populus Café, Leith Community Croft
Experience the bold flavours of New Mexican cuisine at Leith Community Croft's first supper club. This one-night event celebrates the fusion of Indigenous, Spanish, and Mexican culinary traditions that make up New Mexican food.
Fiona is a Scottish-New Mexican with a passion for the rich food heritage of her home state. She will be cooking a series of dishes that she feels showcase the unique blend of flavours and cuisines that makes New Mexican food so special.
Dishes will include posole, a traditional mildly-spiced soup, and tamales, steamed blue corn filled with delicately flavoured cheese and vegetables, with a dessert of sopapillas, fried dough drizzled with honey.
Join us from 6:30pm, when Fiona will be kicking off the evening with an introduction to the food heritage of her state, then move on to sampling Fiona's home-cooked dishes, tasting the finest flavours that highlight the essence of New Mexico.
All food served will be vegetarian.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
