What would Christmas look like after the end of the world? Join the International Ghost Society at Barnton Bunker on the evening of the 7th of December 2024 for a Christmas party like no other!

For this event, we're imagining a dystopian Christmas taking place several years after a nuclear apocalypse. Food is limited, the world outside is ruled by roving gangs of scavengers, money has no meaning, and nobody really remembers the words to any Christmas carols... but we bunker dwellers are determined to have a good time, revive old traditions, and have a merry Christmas despite it all.

You'll be able to explore, by torchlight, a real nuclear bunker that was built in the 1950s and abandoned after the end of the Cold War. We'll be showing some lovely, festive civil defence films, and organising a wee raffle. Throughout the evening there'll be entertainment in the form of songs and stories from before the apocalypse from a number of talented performers.
