Distillery After Dark

About Distillery After Dark

With the nights drawing in and Halloween fast approaching, where better to get into the spirit of the season than our cosy Distillery!

Our expert storytellers have come together to create an event where we will share some genuinely spine-chilling tales of local legends, while treating you to a range of delicious cocktails and spirits.

On arrival, you'll be welcomed to our sumptuous Distillery lounge with a warming toddy to start off your night, as you get to know your fellow guests and your guides for the evening.

Discover your inner mixologist with our cocktail-making session, where you'll learn to craft a tasty autumnal cocktail to impress at your next gathering. As you enjoy your drink, let our guides tell you the fascinating origins of witches in Scotland, and their unlikely connections to Edinburgh's brewing heritage.

As you move down to our atmospheric whisky production floor, discover some forgotten dark tales of Southside's cobbled streets, uncovering hidden gems at every turn. Learn how one of our whisky recipes was inspired by the eerie antics of Edinburgh's most notorious murderers - Burke and Hare - accompanied with a taste of our 'Black Cork' new-make spirit.

In the final part of the evening, join us in our candlelit Cask Room for a tasting of our single malt whisky, accompanied with some truly frightful (but delightful) tales of Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat - now the site of the Samhuinn Fire Festival to welcome the Celtic New Year.

What's included
Hot toddy on arrival
1x autumnal cocktail - mixed by you!
1x sample of new make spirit (unaged whisky)
1x dram of single malt whisky
Light snacks will be provided
