Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse are a California-based roots rock (blending Blues Rock Americana, Country, and Soul) band created and led by Louisiana-born-and-raised musician Greta Valenti (Well Hung Heart) and UK British Blues Hall of Fame Inductee, Robin Davey (The Hoax, DVL, Well Hung Heart).
Due to the band’s cross-Atlantic touring, The Apocalypse comprises various talented musicians from across the globe. Plus various other collaborations and guest appearances.
To fully understand Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse, experience the band live. With a mix of soulful songs, intense rock energy, and world-class award-winning musicianship, RhythmBooze summed up the show finale as “A mind-boggling, blistering finish with everything thrown in including the kitchen sink…truly memorable”. When LouderSounds preaches “Let Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse twist yer melons and remind you of the wonder of life” it might be because the band vibe is easier to pin down than their unique take on the roots genres. Rockshot Magazine elaborates “This extremely entertaining collective is a New Orleans-inspired, American blues-folk-soul band, who refuse to be pigeon-holed”.
Beaux Gris Gris and The Apocalypse’s debut album Love & Murder spurned Top 10 hits in genre charts across Europe. The album’s wide-reaching appeal earned it a #13 placement in the “Top 50 Albums of the Year” by Classic Rock Magazine, describing it as “A sensual, vibrant cocktail”. Having headlined festivals across Europe, including Upton Festival (UK), The Great British R&B Festival (UK), Moulin (Netherlands), and Blues Alive (Czech Republic), the band was nominated for Band of the Year at the European Blues Awards and Best international Band for the UK Blues Awards. Their latest album “Hot Nostalgia Radio” has garnered two #1 rock singles on Planet Rock Radio in the UK for “Oh Yeah!” and “Wild Woman”, and “Satisfy Your Queen” reaching #3. In total the songs have spent over 19 weeks playlisted in 2024, and continue to be spun daily. Their tours across the UK in 2024, were nearly all Sold Out performances.
Multi-award-winning vocalist, songwriter Greta Valenti is Louisiana-born-and-bred creative with generations of her family dating back before the Louisiana Purchase. Her rock outfit Well Hung Heart (OCMA’s Best Live Band) toured the USA opening for Fitz & The Tantrums, Twenty One Pilots, Foreigner, and Offspring. Her partner, guitarist & co-collaborator Robin Davey was the youngest ever inductee into the British Blues Hall of Fame. He spent time as an artist on Atlantic and Interscope Records and has recorded with a wide spectrum of artists from Mick Jagger to Katy Perry. The duo also co-own a multi-award-winning creative agency, film studio, record label, and recording studio, GROW VISION in the USA based in California.
The band is continuing to release single from their 3rd album, “Hot Nostalgia Radio” on their independent label, GROW VISION Music & Records, and touring extensively across the UK, Europe, & United States.
