From Scotland to Italy to Lithuania, Fergus McCreadie (piano), Mindaugas Stumbras (guitar), Michelangelo Scanroglio (doublebass) and Mattia Galeotti(drums) have forged a special connection over many years of playing together. Generated initially from a friendship between Mindaugas and Michelangelo, they met in 2018 for the first time in Florence and have since made music many times in their respective countries.
Communication and native music are the focuses of this group – having played in many different places, from Teatro La Fenice (Venice) to Aberdeen’s Blue Lamp, they have honed their sound as a group and move through their music seamlessly, always listening, always responding. The music is taken from original compositions, as well as traditional melodies of their home countries, resulting in a unique and varied sound, tied together by the strong personality of the group. For the first time since the pandemic, this group visits Scotland, for a concert that is sure to be as surprising and innovative as it is beautiful and considered.
This show will begin with a captivating short solo set from Fergus McCreadie.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
