Calling all Robert Louis Stevenson fans!
Born and educated in Edinburgh, Stevenson is the world-renowned author of Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Acting legend and Robert Louis Stevenson enthusiast Nigel Planer (The Young Ones) will be the guest speaker, enthralling guests with musings on Stevenson’s life.
The red-carpet ticketed event will not only celebrate Stevenson’s literary career but will also honour the author’s family’s heritage as prominent lighthouse engineers.
For over 35 years, Fingal navigated the waters of the West Coast and North of Scotland, ferrying lighthouse keepers, essential supplies and maintenance crew to lighthouses. Since retiring from Northern Lighthouse Board service, Fingal has been transformed into a stunning boutique hotel.
Guests will also enjoy a captivating glimpse into the rich history and folklore of the Stevenson family brought to life by traditional Scottish storyteller, Graeme Johncock.
A splendid evening of Champagne, canapes, traditional Scottish music, a sumptuous four-course dinner and storytelling over a wee dram!
