About Live Music Showcase

Welcome to our Live Music Showcase featuring Thundermoon, Edinburgh-based synth-pop trio with influences including LCD Soundsystem, CHVRCHES, Daft Punk, Underworld, 80’s synth and 90’s dance the DIY queer scene, and old-school punk and Liv Dawn, a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Loch Lomond. Selected as a finalist in the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award she has performed at venues across Scotland including King Tut’s and the Barrowland Ballroom, and festivals including HowTheLightGetsIn, Leigh Folk Festival, Belladrum and Eden Festival.

Thundermoon - The band were featured as The Skinny’s Spotlight On Artist for the launch of the EP, which also received support from Plastic Magazine, BBC Rapal, Jim Gelatley and Amazing Radio. Thundermoon’s second EP “We Can Do Better Than This” is set to drop in November 2024 onNew Teeth Records. Having joined the New Teeth roster in early 2024 alongside acts including Sayra, Doom Scroller & and the Micro Band, Thundermoon have released three singles from their upcoming EP, receiving support from BBC Introducing in Scotland, BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Rapal, Amazing Radio, The Skinny, Alive & Amp, Amplified and Resonate & Amp.They were featured as the Scotsman’s Artist of The Week this year and performed their debut festival slots at Knockengorroch and The Skinny’s takeover of The Pyramid Stage at Kelburn Garden Party, along with their debut Glasgow show at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut.

Liv Dawn - is a folk-pop singer-songwriter from Loch Lomond. Selected as a finalist in the prestigious BBC Radio Scotland Singer-Songwriter of the Year Award she has performed at venues across Scotland including King Tut’s and the Barrowland Ballroom, and festivals including HowTheLightGetsIn, Leigh Folk Festival, Belladrum and Eden Festival. She released her debut EP ‘Beautiful Daydream’ in Summer 2023, written about growing up, falling in and out of love, and cashing dreams. ‘Beautiful Daydream’ received support from media including Amazing Radio, BBC Radio Scotland, Northern Exposure Magazine, Daily Record, The Scotsman, SNACK Mag, and The Skinny.
