Using traditional hand stitches, you will learn the introductory elements of embroidery. Using threads, wools and materials, you will enjoy creating contemporary, colourful and tactile effects.
Covering stitches such as the Chain, Whipped, Satin, Long and Short, Jacobean Couching, Couching, Amish Plush-work and more, you will work to create an embroidered sampler.
This workshop is aimed at beginners or intermediate hand stitchers looking to refresh skills and approaches. The workshop is full of different approaches to hand embroidery which you can continue to use in your developing embroidery work.
