Callum Russell's work explores the urban landscape and its effect on the psychology of people living within it.
By focusing on the man made landscape his delicate monochrome papercut artworks and linocut prints depict the connection between people and the urban environment.
Some images focus on the abstraction created by modern architecture - crisscrossing construction materials remove the purpose of buildings; distorting, reducing and abstracting the city experience. Other works observe quiet, isolated moments of people existing in and amongst the complex and imposing physical city structures
